Ending -ches
This ending can be added to words to make sentences and to add emphasis. Note that like all grammatical endings, it does not change the original stress pattern of the word.

Kuuchuttches.
It's a policeman. It can be used with a subject and a verb, providing extra emphasis. Note the order of Subject-Verb-Ending.
Halypuusuutt 'estikches. The hummingbird is really small. It may not be necessary to always translate the emphasis into English. |
'Elymaam
Child 'Elymaamches. It's a child. (Pronounced: ElyMAAMches) 'Elymaam sinyches. It's a girl. -ches can be used with verbs, with the subject left out or implied:
Tenayches. He's late. Ehuu kumpattkches.
It's a car. Ehuu kumpattk 'ehwattches. The car is red. 'Iikuuches. It's really big. |
