Kewuuw (look): To describe something, state the noun (siny, 'iikwich, 'aashaa, etc.) followed by a verb ('ehwatt, 'iikuu, 'estik, hechalyp). Thus, 'iikwich 'estik means the man is small. You can also say "this is a bird" just with "peyaa 'aashaa."
Kewuuw: When a word like peyaa comes after a noun like 'aashaa, it means "this bird. . ."
Pronunciation note: According to our rules, for the word 'uuchechu, the stress cannot fall on the last syllable "chu" because it ends in a short vowel with no consonants after it. It can't fall on the vowel before that, "che", either, because a syllable with "e" can never have the word's stress. Therefore, this is pronounced UU-che-chu.

Kewuuw: The optional suffix -ches can be added to verbs to mean "it is a ____". It also adds emphasis: "'Iikwich 'iikuuches!" can mean, "The man is really big!" Endings like this do not change the original stress pattern of the word. If there are multiple words such as "'ephar siny", -ches goes on the last word.
Kewuuw: If a sentence has no subject, such as 'Ekwas, the pronoun he, she, or it may be implied. The object of the verb may also be implied, as you will see below: ketema' simply means "try!", the "it" is necessary to state in English but not in 'Iipay Aa.
Ketema'! Try it!
